Fanfare for a Blue Mountain was written for the “Toronto Fanfare Project” in 2006.

It is inspired by the harsh beuty of the Icelandic wilderness. The “Blue Mountain” is mount Herdubreid in north Iceland.  The piece was premiered by the Stocholm Chamber Brass on June 1. 2006 in Barbara Frum Atrium, Toronto
